ING is the first Dutch bank to introduce paying by smartphone to large extend. Rabobank already started with this, but the service is only available for two old Samsung phones.
Including May ING processed 13 million NFC payments which is 2 per client that has a suitable bankcard. 80.000 NFC enabled payment machines are available especially in shops at railwaystations. (Dutch railway organisation already uses a payment cart with NFC for checking in and out).
Minimal requirement is Android 4.4 (Kitkat) and a nfc-chip.
