The shortage on IT personnel with a bachelor or master degree will grow due to the fast growing IT sector (ABN AMRO). Different sectors are in a state of digital transformation. More and more technology is introduced at companies and IT companies will profit from this.
Each quarter over 11.000 new job-openings in IT related professions are created. A large part of these openings remains unfulfilled. At average each quarter 9.150 job-offers are still open.
According to ABN the government, Hogescholen, Universiteiten and the business world should pick up their roll to minimize this shortfall. ABN suggest to retrain people for IT-specialist.
