Koole Tankstorage and Transport has been sold by the Swedish EQT to an investment group. The value of the company is estimates at 1 billion euro. Multiple large investors and infrastructure showed interest. Since the takeover by EQT in 2011 the capacity of Koole has grown 300% to 2 million m3 of which 80% is located in Rotterdam. Other terminals are located at Amsterdam, Zaandam, Nijmegen, UK and Poland. Koole also owns 15 inland ships.
