27% of all jobs in the construction industry are electrical engineering jobs (CBS). 141.000 people work in the electrical engineering industry. 2700 people worked at Imtech Nederland which was declared bankrupt recently. The industry holds 18.390 electrical engineering companies. 12.535 of those are “Eenmanszaken” (small businesses). 103 companies were declared bankrupt this year. The amount of large companies (over 100 employees) shrunk 30% since 2008. Last year’s turnover of electrical engineering in the construction industry was 17,5 billion. The industry is growing since 2014.
